Davante Adams was named to the "99 Club" and is currently the top-ranked receiver in the game. Za'Darius Smith is the opposite and currently ranks 10th on the list of edge rusher. He was not thrilled with the news, but it was more bulletin board material as well as motivation for the Packers' top pass rusher.
This time, we have another Madden rating. Running back Aaron Jones' rating was disclosed together with the top 10 players at the running back position.
Jones is currently the sixth highest rated back with a 91 overall rating. He has just had an impressive season in which Jones ran for 1,104 miles and scored nine touchdowns. The good thing about Jones is he is also a huge threat in the passing game. Jones was able to catch 47 passes last year for 355 yards , and scored a pair touchdowns. He is a do-it-all running back.
He could leave Green Bay and made a huge amount of money. However, he chose to come back to Green Bay to play for the Packers on a slightly, but not by much, more cheap contract. He was given a $48-million, four-year contract from the Packers, but it appears to be more like a 2-year contract. The Packers could always make the terms with him to extend the terms of the contract.
Ahead of Jones in the Madden ratings are Christian McCaffrey (97 overall), Derrick Henry (96), Nick Chubb (96), Dalvin Cook (95) and Alvin Kamara (94). Jones is ahead of Saquon Barkley (90), Josh Jacobs (89) and Ezekiel Elliott (88)
